The transition from NFRD to CSRD was made to strengthen ESG disclosure standards in europe, improve the comparability of reporting, and encourage more companies to report on their sustainability performance. The CSRD is therefore the recent evolution of the european regulation on non-financial disclosure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d580c88 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d580c88\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The NFRD<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c6c089c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c6c089c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"\/nl\/csrd\/nfrd\/\">NFRD<\/a> directive introduced in 2017 the obligation for large listed companies and large public companies to disclose non-financial information. It requires large eu companies, including some listed and unlisted companies, to disclose ESG information, while the NFRD only applied to listed companies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a7c1eb8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a7c1eb8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Companies affected by the CSRD<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-133fa2a elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"133fa2a\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The CSRD involves more than 50,000 companies in the european union to report on their environmental and societal impact.<\/p><p>Among the companies concerned, those that meet at least two of the following criteria:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7213995
