The Carbon Cockpit tool is very easy to use and we have received the information we need to be almost autonomous for the next financial year. Motivations & challenges
Motivation #1
Their primary motivation is to align with their core values, including respect for others and sustainability. To achieve their ultimate goal of demonstrating Scope 4 emissions to clients, they first need to calculate Scopes 1, 2, and 3. Understanding their own emissions is essential before communicating the avoided emissions to their clients.
Motivation #2
Get inspired by CSRD to deliver a reliable reporting, compliant with market expectations.
Challenges
Managing several subsidiaries meant that data had to be processed and monitored at a fast pace.
This dynamic represented a major challenge for both the CSR manager and the carbon consultant.
Collecting data from all subsidiaries, sometimes remotely, required rigorous coordination. In addition, the absence of certain precise data led to the formulation of hypotheses, notably concerning the energy consumption of certain entities.
This experience highlighted the need to manage environmental data effectively in a context of accelerated growth.
What reduction strategies will I-care explore to decrease its carbon footprint?
Increase sales of their WaaS to reduce travel by their technicians.
Implement a circular economy approach to manufacture their Wi-care product.
Consider the use of biodiesel (HVO-100) for their company cars.
Reducing energy consumption in their buildings.
Results
Moreover, as mentioned above, the growth of their Wi-care product will enable them to help their clients remotely. Although the amount of data stored will increase, it will significantly reduce the travel of their technicians (by car & by plane).
