In France, since 1 January 2022, ADEME has been offering the DIAG Décarbon’action. This programme, run in conjunction with BPI, enables SMEs to carry out their first carbon assessment at a lower cost. Eligible companies are SMEs that have never carried out a carbon assessment and have fewer than 500 employees. The cost of the carbon accounting varies according to the size of the company:
4,000€, if the company has fewer than 250 employees,
6,000€, if the company has between 250 and 499 employees.
