As a fast-growing start-up backed by solid public & private investors, we are actively looking for a Senior Consultant with the potential to grow to a Consulting Manager within 6 months. The position is full-time and with indefinite duration. 

Your Role 

You will be reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and you will play an active role in the Management Team, including our CEO, COO, CTO and Head of Growth.  

You will be responsible for delivering impactful sustainability projects, growing the business through customer acquisition and upsell, and coaching in-seat consultants. 

Customer Solution Delivery (approx. 50%) 

  • Lead consultants and work with customers to deliver best-in-class, profitable, and timely projects 
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through accurate/verified results, and the creation of impactful business insights relevant to the customers’ specificities 
  • Own projects Profit & Loss, team resource planning, and team staffing rates 
  • Support the ideation and development of value-added features to our proprietary platforms the Carbon Cockpit and the Carbon Cockpit Scan 
  • Define processes to increase project delivery efficiency 

Business Development (approx. 30%) 

  • Own account management and lead the upsell initiatives to renew business with existing customers 
  • Participate in the prospection efforts to acquire new customers (create service offers, conduct product demos, respond to RFPs) 
  • Support the management team to roll-out the best sales strategy for acquisition & retention 

Consulting Team Leadership (approx. 20%) 

  • Coach, grow and develop skills within the consulting team 
  • Set team and individual objectives and track progress, in line with the company-level objectives and in collaboration with the Management Team 

Your Profile 

As the perfect candidate, you have/you are: 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (consulting, audit, or technology background) 
  • Excellent communication in French, Dutch & English (all 3 languages, a requirement) 
  • Experience with the Bilan Carbone® and/or GHG Protocol and/or ISO 14064 standards – certification is a strong asset 
  • Strong appetite for creating new opportunities with existing and new clients 
  • Proficiency of Excel, Word and PowerPoint 
  • Proven track record in growing and coaching talent 
  • Education in Business and/or Engineering 
  • Experience in a SaaS company is preferred 
  • Strong knowledge about decarbonation and sustainability 
  • Strong motivation to join a growing start-up 
  • Strong customer focus 
  • Stress resistance and high-level of commitment 
  • Available for local trips (30%) and European/overseas trips (5%), a requirement 
  • Currently legally eligible to work in Belgium
